Have you ever passed by this building downtown and wondered what goes on inside? It’s a pump station! In this video, we go on a tour through the Merriwether Pump Station, one of our two pump stations we have in the city. The pump station takes rain water and sends it to the Mississippi River, which prevents our downtown from flooding. This seemingly small building has the power to move 67,000 gallons of water per minute! Keep watching to see how it works. (No rubber ducks were harmed in this video!)
