If you've never witnessed the Flag Ceremony, please consider it this Veterans Day. The ceremony for 15 NEW VETERANS and their families will be Saturday, Nov. 11 at 9 a.m. The awe-inspiring VFW Post 3838 Avenue of the Flags, Cape Girardeau MO in Cape County Park North near the conservation center will be open this weekend. SEMO Vets recently posted that they'll put the flags out (900+) Friday, Nov. 10 at 7 a.m. , and recover them on Monday at 4 p.m. Each flag represents a Cape Girardeau County resident who has served their country and either died in the line of duty or post service. This fantastic display will be available for viewing Friday-Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Many city offices will be closed Friday in observance of Veterans Day.
