Cape Fire Department Congratulations to Captain Jacob…

Congratulations to Captain Jacob Farmer! Jacob recently promoted to the rank of Captain from Driver / Operator. As Captain, he has overall responsibility of his apparatus and the personnel on it. He communicates with our dispatchers to get critical information while responding to an incident. Once on scene, the Captain directs the actions of his personnel and makes sure they stay safe. Captains also guide and help train the newer firefighters so they too can become a Captain some day. Captain Farmer has been with the Cape Girardeau Fire Department since December of 2018.
