Help us celebrate three long time firefighters today! Combined they have served over 35 years! Battalion Chief Matt Mittrucker has been with the Cape Girardeau Fire Department since 2004. As our Training and Safety Officer, he finds classes that allow our personnel to grow professionally; oversees our yearly Firefighter I & II class for potential firefighters; coordinates the hiring process; and is in charge of seeing that our personnel are kept healthy and whole. He is also an EMT and works at Station 1. Captain David Uptmor has been with the Department since 2012. He is the Captain on A Platoon at Station 3. He is a Paramedic and is also in charge of ordering and inventorying many of our EMS supplies. Firefighter Paden Lee has been with the Cape Girardeau Fire Department since 2018. He is a Paramedic and also a member of our Homeland Security Response Team (HSRT). He is a Firefighter on A Platoon and works at Station 1. Congratulations to all on your years of service! Learn More
