On Monday, November 13th, 2023, Engine 4 had a very unique opportunity to not only encourage, but also inspire and motivate the students at Cape Central Academy. Many staff at Cape Central Academy, made this a possibility. We appreciate Directors Zech Payne and Andrea Beggs, as well as @JAG-Cape Central Academy specialist Ursulla Wadley and Counselor Tracy Merickel for making this special engagement happen. The first part of this engagement was where firefighters spoke with the students in a more intimate group setting. This allowed the firefighters to be transparent and encourage the students that the choices they make now, can affect their lives later. The second part was a group effort where firefighters, supervisors, teachers, and counselors stood together to inspire the kids on opportunities they have right now to succeed. The response was incredible. The Department hopes to continue its involvement in local students and schools in the near future. Learn More
