On Sunday, May 28, at about 12:30a.m. Patrolman Lewis attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. The vehicle failed to stop, and Patrolman Lewis pursued the vehicle for a couple of blocks before the vehicle came to a stop in the 0-100-Block of N. Lorimier. Once the vehicle came to a stop the occupants of the vehicle exited and fled on foot from officers. Cpl. Vezeau was in the immediate vicinity and was able to apprehend Kamarion Dorsey (26) from Elmira, New York. Kamarion Dorsey was later charged through the Cape Girardeau County Prosecutors Office with a Class E felony of resisting a lawful stop.Learn More
