On Sunday, September 17, 2023 at about 1:30 a.m., officers with the Cape Girardeau Police Department responded to the area of the 600- and 700-Block of Bellevue for a report of shots fired. Officers arrived and located multiple items of evidence indicating shots had been fired. Officers also located one victim with an apparent gunshot wound a few blocks from the original scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of what appeared to be a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.Learn More
