We would like to welcome our new Firefighter to the Cape Girardeau Fire Department. Friday was his last day of orientation. He spent the last 2 weeks getting familiar with our people, equipment, and policies and procedures. He is now starting a one-year probationary period where he will move from Station to Station to learn the streets, equipment and capabilities of each Station. Tyler Rees is from Cape Girardeau and has worked at Fruitland Fire. Prior to the Fire Service, Tyler was in the Marines for 6 years and the Army for 14 years. He became a Firefighter to serve others.
