Your Cape Girardeau firefighters responded to the Diversion Channel last night for the report of a possible boat that had tipped over. Marine 1 was quickly launched from the boat ramp and the Diversion Channel was thoroughly searched. There was one boat trailer in the parking lot, so we knew there was a strong possibility of a boat in the water. Traveling west in the Diversion Channel, a boat was located and that boat was confirmed to belong to the trailer. All the occupants on that boat advised they needed no assistance, so Marine 1 returned to the boat ramp.
